The story takes place in 2062, when humanity has been at war for 20 years with Artemis, a powerful AI that has rebelled against its creators. Empress, a young amnesiac, wakes up in an underground base. She is one of the Protectors of Mankind, but has no memory of anything prior to her awakening. What's more, her intended allies, Dead Master and Strength, seem ready to do anything to get in her way.
