Pilon integrates Anatole

In 1984,

Jean-Michel and Pierre Jouis-homme set up La Parasolrie studio on the slopes of the Croix-Rousse (later to become VOX POPULI and then STUDIO ANATOLE). By day, they record, edit, cut tape with scissors... and by night, they rehearse in the cellar, which doubles as a recording booth.

In 1984,

Another studio, created by André Manoukian and Philippe Viennet, is born: LES PRODUCTEURS. This studio, which sees itself more as a sound communications consultancy, dedicates its activity to advertising, a flourishing sector in the years 80-90-2000.

At the time, Franck Pitiot, a few years their junior, came to watch a few rehearsals and see how things worked in the studio.

In 1988,

He and Thierry Courtaud set up MIROSLAV PILON, a sound post-prod studio based in the 7th arrondissement, rue Sebastien Gryphe, from where they never moved. Franck and Thierry's ambition is to seriously develop in the field of fiction and animation... they're dreaming of cinema! And time will tell that they were right. In the late 90s and early 2000s, many producers came to the company to finalize their films.

In 2003,

At the same time, Franck was acting (even at work) and took part in the shooting of Alexandre Astier's short film Dies Irae, which led to the famous series Kaamelott, where he played the knight Perceval, a nice but not very clever character, who would become an icon of the small screen. Life's funny, isn't it? Of course, post-production for the series and later the first film will be handled by PILON.

In 2008,

To step up a gear and offer their customers new tools, Les Pilons create a 280M3 cinema auditorium at the Pôle Pixel. This new structure brings together some of Les Pilons' shareholders, the POLYSON studio and the LES PRODS studio.

In 2014,

After several years of dubbing Japanese anime, which took Miroslav a little off course, Carole Tranchant, who had been a Pilon sales rep for several years, decided to leave to create a new structure dedicated to dubbing, in association with a Parisian firm: O'Bahamas Lyon. Dubbing came to an end at Pilon, which was able to concentrate once again on its core business: sound post-prod.

In 2020,

Tim and Vincent set out to meet them. After almost 35 years of sharing the sound market in the region, it may be time to think about a joint follow-up. ANATOLE, which is currently ramping up its dubbing and voice work, is looking to develop its post-production business. To be continued.

April 2023,

After the official opening of the ANATOLE VAISE dubbing studios, the PILON studio officially joins the ANATOLE group. PILON CINEMA was taken over by one of the shareholders, POLYSON.

Franck remains at the helm, the name is unchanged, the spirit remains the same, and the team is growing to better meet our customers' needs. All that remains now is to write the next chapter in the PILON x ANATOLE story...

It's up to us.
